Service & Steel
For Austin, the connection to his community doesn’t end when he steps off the stage. By day, he serves the people of Vancouver as a dedicated transit operator a role that keeps him grounded in the daily rhythms and stories of the city.
That commitment to the public extends into his hours as a volunteer and Webmaster for the Transit Museum Society (TMS). Whether he is navigating modern city streets or working hands-on to maintain a living fleet of vintage British Columbia buses, Austin’s mission is the same: to give back. By coding digital archives and preserving these steel giants, he ensures that the heritage of the open road and the stories of the people who built this province are never forgotten.
